"What is happiness?"
Selma is a small book with a big message. A narrative told through the eyes of a wolf seeking to find the meaning of happiness from a goat, Selma teaches us that the greatest joys in life come in the tiniest of forms. Selma is originally by an amazing German artist named Jutta Bauer. For my bookbinding project, I used watercolor to recreate the illustrations and written content of the book (merging English and Chinese and creating my own bilingual version), and bound the folios with the side-stitching method. I acquired red cloth, which I proceeded to iron and use it to cover a bookbinding board, which I ultimately used as the book's cover.
